A Word from the Mods

Hey everyone! How are you enjoying the site so far? We're loving it and having a ton of fun, and we're so glad to see so many people here!

As we said, the site is just getting started, and we're continually working on improvements. Soon we will see the first major improvements in the site, as we're getting a bit of a redesign. (Yes, already.) Hopefully the revamp will make the site a little easier for you to navigate, and a little easier for us to maintain. So don't be surprised when you click your way over here and see something totally new.

If you have any suggestions for the site, drop us a line on the message boards or send us an email. We love to hear what you think!

Site Highlights

Featured Writer: The new Featured Writer is Larry, who's given us a short story, "The Soulless One." You can read it now, as well as an interview with the author, on the Featured Writer forum. Go check it out, let imr know what you think. Here's a small preview:

Atwood tried to stare down the powerful man, but had to turn his head. “What do you want from me?”

“What do you want from us, Atwood Seaton?” Conner asked softly.

“There are only two things that you can offer me,” Atwood said, looking into Conner’s eyes. “Death or blood sucking. I want neither.”

Monthly Prompt:

"You've said it yourself a million times. If there had been a TV in every living room sixty years ago, this country does not elect a man in a wheelchair." From The American President

Take one event, decade, era, etc. in history and change it. This can be a character that travels back in time, someone behaves differently, you chose. This can even be an event in the life of your character. How does this change things? What problems arise? Does someone know something has changed? How are things restored?
